The Perimenopause Somersault & EFT Tapping Sequence for Support

These days I’ve been seeing a lot of female patients working their way through the perimenopause transition. What used to feel easy and ordinary about life suddenly becomes a somersault during this phase, but instead of landing on your feet, you roll again and again. I, too, am navigating this realm.

It hasn’t been an easy time for perimenopausal and menopausal women. Western medicine has had to catch up on knowledge that was lost after the Women’s Health Initiative scare of 2002, which led many women to stop hormone therapy. We lost more than two decades in helping women make this transition, so it’s no surprise that many doctors don’t know how to help women today. Instead of training in hormone therapy, many were taught to look first at mental health or autoimmune conditions. Thankfully that is changing. Physicians are once again being trained to care for perimenopausal and menopausal women, and to look at a woman’s hormones first, not last (or, for many women, not at all).

I work with a female hormone specialist myself, and I’ve been so grateful for the hand-holding and care. I’m also a Chinese medicine practitioner, and the tools of my trade are tremendously valuable in helping women navigate this threshold. It’s not just that our hormones are changing; we as women are changing. What used to be important falls away (and that can be quite a process, since it’s different for every woman), and we step into becoming something new, not just to others, but most importantly to ourselves.

Even when women are getting good hormone support, there is so much more to this transition that we can address. Eight Extraordinary Channel treatments are especially helpful for balancing the mental, emotional, and spiritual territory of perimenopause. These deep channels are considered the body’s original blueprint, and they govern our major life cycles and transitions, which is why they speak so directly to this phase of life. If you’re in the middle of this transition, I’d love to support you. You can book a session here.

For those of you familiar with EFT tapping, I have included a TFT (similar to EFT) sequence for perimenopause. Enjoy!

Setup — Psychological Reversal Correction
Tap karate chop point, repeat 3x:

“Even though my adrenals are depleted, my hormones are shifting, and my body is working hard through this transition, I deeply love, honor, and accept myself. I choose to support my body with love, coherence, and trust.”

ROUND 1 — Releasing the Burden

*see chart below for point locations

  • EB — This exhaustion in my adrenals

  • SE — The depletion, the tiredness that goes so deep

  • UE — The stress my adrenals have been carrying

  • UN — The hormonal storm of perimenopause

  • CH — Fear and frustration around this transition

  • CB — My thyroid struggling to find its balance

  • UA — All the weight my endocrine system has been holding

  • TH — I release the burden now

GAMUT RESET

GP — Gamut Point
Located on the back of the hand, in the slight hollow between the knuckles of the ring finger and little finger, about half an inch back from the knuckles toward the wrist.

Tap this point continuously throughout the entire 9-step sequence — the tapping doesn’t stop while your eyes are moving, rolling, humming, and counting.

The 9-Gamut Sequence (tap GP throughout):

  1. Eyes closed

  2. Eyes open

  3. Eyes hard down to the right

  4. Eyes hard down to the left

  5. Roll eyes in a full circle clockwise

  6. Roll eyes in a full circle counterclockwise

  7. Hum a few notes of a tune

  8. Count aloud 1–2–3–4–5

  9. Hum again

ROUND 2 — Nourishing & Restoring

  • EB — My adrenals are loved, supported, and restoring

  • SE — Deep rest and nourishment flow into my adrenal glands

  • UE — My cortisol rhythms return to natural, healthy balance

  • UN — My thyroid finds its perfect set point — clear, steady, strong

  • CH — My hormones transition with grace and ease

  • CB — Estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and all my hormones harmonize beautifully

  • UA — The HRT and supplements are welcomed and integrated by my body

  • TH — My whole endocrine system is coherent and whole

Round 3 — Vitality & Trust

  • EB — I trust my body’s intelligence through this transition

  • SE — Menopause is a sacred passage

  • UE — Energy returns steadily as my adrenals heal

  • UN — I sleep deeply, wake refreshed, feel alive

  • CH — My body knows how to find its new balance

  • CB — I am supported by my HRT, my supplements, and Source energy

  • UA — Vitality, warmth, and strength flow through me

  • TH — I am well. I am whole. I am in transition with grace.

Closing

Hands on lower belly and heart. Breathe slowly.

“I bless my adrenals with rest and restoration. I bless my thyroid with clarity and strength. I bless my female hormones with grace through this sacred transition. My body is loved, supported, and healing. Thank you.”
